I had been doing photography for many years, photographing objects and landscapes. I had always wanted to shoot people, but found that having to interact with another human being, in collaboration, to achieve an artistic result, was extremely nerve wracking and required a great deal of self-confidence. One day I decided to start on this journey.

When doing portrait photography, it's important to get the subject to feel comfortable in front of the camera. A delicate moment that I was only able to achieve after shooting for a while, developing a rapport of familiarity and trust with my subjects. I have come to love this genre and continue to do it at present. Today, human expression has become one of my most favourite subjects to capture.
